Brick & Bond Spotlight: Racca’s Pizzeria Napoletana

November 17, 2023

At Brick & Bond, we believe our tenants are shining examples of the entrepreneurial spirit, which is why we’re excited to highlight Racca’s Pizzeria Napoletana, and its new owner, Rachel Mondle.

A Love for the Hustle and Bustle

Rachel started working at Racca’s seven years ago as a server, and has been in love with her job there through all of its evolutions. “I’ve enjoyed working in the restaurant industry since I was a teen,” she says. “I broke away from it for a little while to go to college to get a ‘real job,’ but I just loved the hustle and bustle of the restaurant business. But I literally fell in love with Racca’s in particular, when I walked in to apply.”

Rachel was instantly impressed by the previous owners, Mark and Kristy Dym, and their passion for the restaurant and the industry itself. These are passions Rachel shared. “My bosses recognized that and promoted me to GM,” she tells us. “I’ve been running Racca’s for the last six years, and when I found out the owners were selling, I made it my personal mission to buy it. I couldn’t imagine anyone else coming in and changing things.”

Pizza Fired by Passion

When it comes to the food at Racca’s, you’ll be hard pressed to find a bigger fan than Rachel. “Our product is fantastic,” she says. “I was blown away by the attention to detail that we have for the quality of the pizzas. You can tell that there’s a passion behind every dish.”

Racca’s is also VPN (“Verace Pizza Napoletana”) certified, which means they are certified by an association in Naples, Italy, verifying that their pizzas are crafted in an authentic manner. Racca’s is the only establishment in Wyoming with that certification.

A Community Staple

Racca’s is also active within the Casper community, doing their best to participate in as many community events as are brought to them. “We do fundraisers, in-house fundraisers, give-back nights, nonprofits, school groups. We do events where we donate back 15% of sales to them for community impact. Anytime we can participate in something happening locally, we try to do that,” Rachel says. “We just helped with the Science Zone trick-or-treat trail, and partnered with another restaurant to provide food for all 120 people helping that day.”

Brick & Bond has enjoyed working closely with Racca’s over the years, and we’re excited to continue that relationship with Rachel. Speaking on her experience, she referred to it as “a partnership,” saying, “Brick & Bond 100% has our best interests in mind as much as theirs.”

We’re happy to have Racca’s Pizzeria Napoletana in our community, providing high-quality food and service to Casper and its residents. Congratulations on your new role, Rachel — we can’t wait to see where Racca’s is headed!
